The First Session was a phenomenal success! With over 100 designers turning up to our 70 seater venue for the first ever ScreenEdit Sessions, it was set to be an interesting show. Everyone that came received their 256 USB wrist band, discount card to
Re-Mix and of course, the beer tokens! After an hour of drinking and battling fellow designers on Guitar Hero in the Xbox room, the Sessions began. With a short and sweet introduction from us (The Screen Edit Crew) the Sessions were under way.
AllofUs Session
Tim and Mark talked us through what
AllofUs were passionate about and the sort of projects they get through the door. They then went onto explain about their Artists in Residence program at Microsoft which they were lucky enough to be involved in. Whilst there they created a magnificent application called doodleEarth. Which looks great fun and a magnificent communal playground for doodlers and vandals alike, watch this space!
Brendan Dawes Session
Brendan talked us through his first ever website creations whilst confessing how hideously unacceptable it is by today’s standards, which was hilarious. He also made us realise the power and importance of creating something just because you want to create. Ok you probably had to be there but it was insightful comedy genius. He then went on to disclose more of his personal projects including the
MixaTape and work that has been adopted by the
MoMA gallery in New York.
